Race Day Info
The Byron Bay Triathlon is held annually at Byron Bay Surf Club.
Byron Bay is located in the Northern Rivers region in NSW, just off the Pacific Highway, 800kms north of Sydney, 170kms south of Brisbane (about 90kms south of the Gold Coast). There are two airports in the vicinity with a bus depot located in the centre of town.
AIRPORTS
Byron Bay is serviced by the Ballina Airport which is only a 30 minute drive north and just 45 minute drive south from the Gold Coast Airport. Jetstar, Virgin and Rex airlines all fly to these destinations. Byron is a brief 90-minute commute from Brisbane.
PARKING
Parking is available for all athletes on Butler Street Reserve, it is approximately a 10 minute walk to the Byron Bay Surf Club where the event is held. The parking is run by our local volunteers and there is a gold coin donation to help support the Byron Bay Surf Life Saving Club, who do a fantastic job with water safety/patrolling on the day of the event to ensure all swimmers leave the water safely.
TOILETS
Toilets are located for participants and general public use at the surf club on Bay Street, there are also toilets/showers located within the registration hall, and these amenities are for the use of participants only.
